Hello, Connectors ๐
I've been doing as many resume reviews as I can. Stuck on your resume? DM me on LinkedIn, I'll try to review yours, too.

Lots of people I talk to get stuck on the first two steps of landing a remote job:
Finding remote work companies
Finding remote job openings
Today in 5 minutes or less, you'll get access to a free tool I built to help solve this problem, plus tips on how to use it.

๐ง "Where Are People Finding These Remote Jobs?"
Landing a remote job can be a long process:
Research places to work
Find job openings
Apply for the job
Pass a screen
Interview
Offer
Job!

But lots of people I talk to are getting stuck on the first two steps:
Research
Find job openings
If you can't clear these two "levels", it's impossible to win this "game".
So I decided to build a solution to help people get unstuck.
And give it away for free.
The Remote Job Hub: 50+ Remote Job Boards & 700+ Remote Companies
Introducing The Remote Job Hub (click here for access).

I spent about 25 hours putting together The Remote Job Hub. That includes sending it to a dozen friends and The Connection readers to test: does it help find remote job openings?
100% transparency: at first, it didn't.
I built something too complicated. You needed to watch a 5-minute video just to learn how to use it.
So I started over.
Built something different.
Now, I'm excited for you to try it out.
You can access it here. Click "File" > "Make a copy" to create your own copy.
Tips On Using The Remote Job Hub
1/ Use Recommended Job Boards. 50+ job boards is a lot. Look for the โญ๏ธ and start with the recommended boards, which tend to have the most coverage.
Then use the description to search for specific industries or functions.
2/ Use Search To Narrow Down Companies. Don't try and review all 700 companies! Use the search function (Command + F) to cycle through keywords in the "Industry" column. For example, try searching for "fintech".
3/ Quantity Matters. Why so many job boards? Why so many companies? Because quantity matters. Volume is valuable.
The best way to get better at applying to jobs is to apply to a lot.
Growth = many small optimizations, compounded over time.
And when something compounds, a small foundation can lead to logic-defying results.
(Yes, of course quality matters, too. You want to submit high-quality applications to great-fit companies. But the road to quality is paved with quantity.)
4/ Set Up Job Alerts. Take some of the guesswork out of the search. Subscribe to job alerts on remote job boards and career pages to get notified of new listings, automatically.
Alerts and notifications are part of a strong workflow.
Strong workflow = Less time in front of the computer
Less time = Better mindset
Better mindset = Better life
The job search can be a grind. Small quality of life improvements, like not having to scroll for new openings, make a big difference in the long run.
5/ Mine For Hidden Gems. Explore the 700+ remote companies. You're looking for diamonds in the rough. Most companies won't be a fit. Find the few that are.
Then follow those companies. Check out their career pages. You'll find roles listed on company sites that may not make it to the job boards.
What are the chances you'll land an opportunity with one of these companies right away? Slim.
But your career is a long game.
Plant seeds now. Enjoy the fruit later.
How?
6/ Connect With Current Employees. Companies don't hire people; people hire people. Use LinkedIn to connect with current or former employees of the company.
No open roles? Even better. That's the time to connect. It's less transactional and more relationship-building.
And when something does open up, you'll be top of mind.
Conclusion
Autonomy over your time is a key ingredient to happiness. And landing a remote job is one of the first steps to create autonomy.
My goal is to build a comprehensive library on how to go remote, between:
The Connection Newsletter
And now, the Remote Job Hub
...and give it all away for free.
๐ If you receive any value from these resources, the kindest thing you can do is share it with someone else.
I received a lot of help building this tool. Thanks to: Chris Cerra, Michelle Coulson, Kristie Sullivan, Muhammad Alard, Stella Gonazlez, Nadeen Kharputly, Eva Konstantopoulos, Jordan Carroll, Lior Neu-ner, and Amy Rasplicka for their feedback.
